LAKE WYLIE — It was a cool night April 17 for the Thursday Night Tournament Trail, but it didn't seem to affect the fishing.
“We had another good turnout with half the field bringing fish to the scales,” said Erwin Gaston, who organizes the trail with Jeremy Cabe. There were 51 boats.
Phillip Burke and Andy Beechly brought in five bass weighing 18.55 pounds and the big fish of the night at 4.96 pounds.
Second place went to Jay Adams and coach Bobby Carrol with 16.45 pounds.
The weekly Thursday Night Tournament Trail continues through September, and registration is at 5:15 p.m. at Buster Boyd Access Area. Blastoff is at 6:30 p.m. Entry fees cost $40 per boat. Trail sponsors are Academy Sports, Kangaroo Express and A-1 Adams Bail Bond.
