Police seek Thomasboro Grocery robbery suspect

Police are asking the public’s help in identifying and finding the man who robbed a west Charlotte grocery store at gunpoint Monday afternoon.

The robbery was reported shortly after 1:45 p.m. at the Thomasboro Grocery, in the 200 block of Bradford Drive. That is off Freedom Drive.

Police said the suspect pointed a gun at an employee and demanded money. After getting money and cigarettes, the suspect drove off.

Investigators describe the suspect as a black male, about 18 to 19 years old, 5 feet, 5 inches talland thin with dreadlocks. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
