— Mike Stevens and Bryan New took the money again May 22 at the Thursday Night Tournament Trail.

“The guys are in a zone right now and can do no wrong,” said trail co-organizer Erwin Gaston.

The two brought in 16.06 pounds worth of fish that landed the win out of 40 teams. Second-place team Ron and Roger Farrow brought five fish to the scale that weighed 14.61 pounds.

“The lake level seems to have leveled out, and the water has cleared up, which has scattered the fish in all directions,” Gaston said.

The weekly trail continues through the end of August with the fish off Sept. 5-6. Registration is at 5:15 p.m. at Buster Boyd Access Area.

Blastoff is at 6:30 p.m. Entry fees cost $40 per boat. Trail sponsors are Academy Sports, Kangaroo Express and A-1 Adams Bail Bond.
