Yard sale, block party June 7

The Bridge Community Church, 3168 Hands Mill Highway, will hold a yard sale 8 a.m.-noon June 7 with a block party serving hot dogs, popcorn, cotton candy, games and bounce house 11 a.m.-2 p.m.

All yard sale proceeds go to the building program.

Free concert June 8 at Living Waters

The Edge of Grace Band will give a free outdoor concert at 5 p.m. June 8 at Living Waters Church, 612 Bethel School Road.

The church will offer hot dogs and hamburgers and drinks. Bring a chair.

Pleasant Hill Presbyterian plans Bible school

Pleasant Hill Presbyterian Church, 15000 York Road, Charlotte, will have vacation Bible school from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. June 16 to 20.

Rising pre-kindergarten students through fifth grade are invited to share through stories and games about God’s people.

New Life Baptist Church - Clover, 305 N. Main St., will hold vacation Bible school from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 14 for pre-k through sixth grade.

Journey Fest set for June 28

The Journey at Lake Wylie, 5415 S.C. 557, will hold Journey Fest 2014 7 a.m.-1:30 p.m. June 28.

Lunch will be available, as well as a bake sale, yard sale, silent auction, events and games for children, and special attractions.

Yard sale and vendor spaces cost $10. Tables are available on a first-come, first-served basis while supply lasts, or furnish your own.

Take trip to Holy Land

Charles and Barbara Ford of Lake Wylie will host a trip to the Holy Land Nov. 5-15.

The Fords have lived in and visited Israel many times and have insight into the history, religion and modern day culture of this region, the birthplace of Christianity.

Dine for HOPE

The Waffle House-Lake Wylie and Knights of Columbus of All Saints Council No. 14475 are raising money for Operation HOPE (Helping Other People Everyday), a statewide campaign to help people with intellectual disabilities.
