LAKE WYLIE — It took only 14.75 pounds to win the June 12 Thursday Night Tournament Trail on Lake Wylie.
“The turnout for Thursday Night was light due to the lake being off limits for the guys fishing the Carolina Bass Challenge on Saturday,” said Erwin Gaston, trail organizer with Jeremy Cabe. “We had a field of 20 boats with three-quarter of the field weighing in fish.”
Conrad Pogorzelski and Billy Wolf brought in five fish weighing in at 14.75 pounds for first place.
Second place went to the Williams bothers, Greg and Brian, with a weight of 12.44 pounds.
The weekly trail continues through the end of August with the fish off Sept. 5-6. Registration is at 5:15 p.m. at Buster Boyd Access Area.
Blastoff is at 6:30 p.m. Entry fees cost $40 per boat. Trail sponsors are Academy Sports, Kangaroo Express and A-1 Adams Bail Bond.
