Belmont 3v3 tourney Saturday

The Belmont Parks & Recreation Department will hold a 3v3 soccer tournament Saturday, June 21, at Davis Park field. Only eight teams per age division will be accepted into the tournament.

The age divisions offered are U9, U11, middle school and high school. All divisions are co-ed. The U9 and U11 age group will have an age cutoff Sept. 1. U9 cannot turn 9 before Sept 1. Middle school is for rising sixth-, seventh- and eighth-graders. High school is for rising ninth-, 10th-, 11th- and 12th-graders.

The registration fee for the tournament is $75 per team. Register at 37 E. Woodrow Ave., Belmont. For more information, call 704-901-2070.

Register for Clover’s adult co-ed league

Registration for Clover Recreation Co-ed Adult Soccer ends this month.

Register at the Clover Community Center, 120 Bethel St.

Registration will be for teams and individuals (must be 16 years of age). The registration fee will be $400 per team and $50 per individual. For more information, call 803-222-9493, ext. 233.

Basketball

Lady Blue Eagles’ basketball camp begins July 14

The first Clover High School all girls basketball camp will be 5 to 7:30 p.m. July 14 to 17.

The camp director is Shakkia Walker, assistant girls’ basketball coach at CHS. The Lady Blue Eagle coaching staff, players and former players will provide instruction.

Pre-registration is recommended, with final registration to be at 4:30 p.m. July 14. Multi-child discount is $10 per child.

Camp day activities will focus on the fundamentals of the game, including dribbling, footwork, shooting, defense and ball-handling.
