Monroe police seek robbery suspect

Monroe police said this man is a suspect in the robbery of a Kangaroo Express convenience store.

Police in Monroe are asking the public’s help in identifying a man who allegedly robbed a convenience store Friday night.

The robbery was reported about 9:30 p.m. at the Kangaroo Express station in the 1800 block of Morgan Mill Road.

Police said a man approached the counter with a soda bottle in his hand, and when the employee opened the cash register, the man jumped over the counter, pushed the employee away, grabbed money from the register and then ran.
