Police seek suspect in southeast Charlotte robbery

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police say this man is a suspect in the armed robbery of a convenience store early Tuesday on Idlewild Road in southeast Charlotte.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are looking for a man who robbed a southeast Charlotte convenience store at gunpoint early Tuesday.

Officers were called around 4 a.m. to the Circle K store in the 7900 block of Idlewild Road. A clerk said a man entered the store, displayed a gun and demanded the employee’s purse and property from the store. The suspect ran off after getting those items, police said.

The suspect is described as a black male, about 5 feet 5 inches tall with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a dark-colored shirt, black pants and a baseball cap.
