Alzheimer’s focus of Rotary meeting

Barbara Ivey will talk about the benefits of Rotary Club’s C.A.R.T. Fund (Coins for Alzheimer’s Research Trust) at the noon July 15 Lake Wylie Rotary Club meeting at Good Samaritan United Methodist Church, 5220 Crowders Cove Road.

Ivey’s mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. Ivey will share what she and her family learned during their 14-year journey and caregiver support techniques.

She also will talk about the C.A.R.T. Fund. Each week, Rotarians collect change for research for the cure and prevention of Alzheimer’s. This practice dates back to 1996 with Rotarians making the weekly donations.

Lunch costs $9, catered by Christopher’s. Visit lwrotary.org to reserve a seat or for more information.
