Marines increase training flights, night hours

The Associated PressJuly 15, 2014

— Marine Corps F/A-18 jets are going to be heard from early morning to late night because of increased training flights.

Marine Corps spokesman Capt. Jordan Cochran says the flights at the Air Station Beaufort are running from 7 a.m. to 1 a.m. Tuesday and Wednesday.

Cochran says the increase in training operations is essential for Marines to stay in top form for combat.
