Bible study orientation set

LAKE WYLIE -- Clover Bible Study for women of all faiths and knowledge levels is holding an orientation coffee for prospective members at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at River Hills Community Church on S.C. 49. Meetings will begin Aug. 27 at the church. Call (803) 831-0790.

Free concert Saturday

STEELE CREEK -- Good Shepherd United Methodist Church in Steele Creek invites the community to it's next Thrive Alive Saturday concert from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Winget Park. Other dates include Aug. 23, on the church lawn at 13110 Moss Road and Sept. 13, again at RiverGate. Call (704) 588-3309.

Feast of the Assumption Masses scheduled

LAKE WYLIE -- All Saints Catholic Church, 533 Pole Branch Pole, will offer three Masses for The Feast of the Assumption, a Holy Day of Obligation in the Catholic Church celebrating the Blessed Virgin's assumption into Heaven. A vigil will be held at 7 p.m. Aug. 14, followed by Mass at 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. Aug. 15. All are welcome to attend.
