While the weather changed from bright sunshine to thick clouds on day three Sept. 29 of the National Guard FLW College Fishing Southeast Conference Championship, it wasn’t nearly enough to derail the powerhouse Auburn University fishing team. With several deep schools of bass located, the Tigers put on an offshore clinic and dominated the three-day tournament wire-to-wire.

National Guard FLW College Fishing is headed to Lake Wylie Thursday-Saturday, Sept. 27-29, for the Southeastern Conference Championship presented by Evinrude.

Thursday Night Tournament Trail heads into championship following tough summer season.

Anglers weathered summer patterns during the Thursday Night Tournament Trail on Lake Wylie.

Following polygraph testing at weigh-in May 31 for the Thursday Night Tournament Trail, the anglers holding 15.69 pounds were declared the winners.

Angler Julie Griffin of Clover reeled in three fish Oct. 15 during the Midlands Striper Club tournament on Lake Murray for second place.

LAKE WYLIE -- Roger Pope of Statesville, N.C., topped the field of boaters during Saturday's North Carolina Division Bass Fishing Leauge tournament on Lake Wylie. Pope collected five fish at 19 pounds, 10 ounces for the top prize of $4,874.
