    Nathaniel Hartley wins NCISAA 1A/2A state title in 100 backstroke

    Gaston Day sophomore Nathaniel Hartley won the boys 100-yard backstroke at the NCISAA 1A/2A state swimming championships Feb. 17, 2015. Hartley broke his own state meet record with a time of 52.86 seconds, beating his nearest competitor by 4.52 seconds.


    Fire kills 16 dogs, destroys buildings at York animal rescue

    An early-morning fire destroyed three structures and killed 16 dogs at Richardson Resuce, an animal shelter in York. The owners called the fire "devastating."
