COLUMBIA, S.C. -- The National Federation of Independent Business, South Carolina's leading small business association, has presented state Rep. Herb Kirsh with its 2008 Guardian of Small Business award. He represents the 47th District, comprised of York County.

LAKE WYLIE -- Lake Wylie's Friends in Business meets from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. Wednesdays at All Saints Catholic Church, intersection of Pole Branch Road and S.C. 274. Each week a local business, group member speaks about what their business has to offer the area.

Lake Wylie Chamber of Commerce will step outside of the Lake Wylie community to hold a Business After Hours at Carolina Hyundai of Fort Mill from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at 805 Gold Hill Road and I-77. Members of the Tega Cay Chamber will be attending the event, too.
